Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI)
The Museum of History and Industry, located in the historic Naval Reserve Armory on Seattle’s Lake Union, collects and preserves artifacts and stories of the Puget Sound region’s diverse history. In addition to its Maritime Seattle exhibit (co-curated with the Puget Sound Maritime Historical Society, listed separately in this chapter), MOHAI is home to a permanent exhibit tracing the City of Seattle’s journey from an age when Native American cultures first came into contact with Europeans to the growth of a mill town and seaport and the region’s subsequent transformation into a major global hub.
