Schooner Martha
Built in 1907, the schooner MARTHA is the oldest working sailing vessel on the West Coast and a listed historic vessel. Located in Port Townsend, she is owned and operated by the nonprofit Schooner Martha Foundation, Martha takes young sailors on trips throughout the Salish Sea region where they perform all the tasks needed to navigate and sail her. Martha travels to area maritime heritage events and races in local regattas. She is is a featured vessel at the annual Wooden Boat Festival in Port Townsend every September.
Schooner Martha Foundation is a non-profit organization that caretakes the 116 year old Schooner Martha, based out of Port Townsend, WA. Schooner Martha is a classic sail training vessel that develops youth (12-18) and adult sailors for racing, stewardship, and maritime education.
