Virginia V
Built in 1922, the steamship Virginia V (the “V” represents the Roman numeral five) is the last operational example of a Puget Sound Mosquito Fleet passenger steamer, hundreds of which crisscrossed Puget Sound from the 1850s until the 1930s. From her home port at Seattle’s Historic Ships Wharf, the Virginia V travels the waters of Lake Union, Lake Washington, and Puget Sound, exploring the region’s rich history with cruises and dockside events.
